Hi I'm Cooper Barnson

I've grown up in Utah, I love my Heavenly Father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In High School, I loved to play golf, studied anything related to health, and took rigorous science classes. After completing my necessary courses, I had the decision of whether to serve a mission or go to college. Although it may be easy to decide to go right to college and get "started" on life, I decided to pray and ponder for a long time before deciding it was right for me to dedicate my first two years of adulthood to my Heavenly Father, who was gracious enough to bless me with a wonderful life to live here on this Earth, and serve a mission, in which I am called to labor in Cleveland Ohio. I am so excited to serve and love the opportunity I have to represent Jesus Christ and teach His gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen truth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, restored to the Earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I have seen the truth manifested to me in my life either through my own personal experiences or from hearing of others'. I have seen the blessings in my life that I have been given for keeping the commandments given to us from the times of the Old Testament to the Latter-Days. There is no way that I could possibly deny that these happenings in my life are simply "coincidences," for I know that they are from my God, and He knows that I know it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the callings by which I am called by God. Whether assignments being given to me were large or small, I have always known that I was called of God to serve in the position I am given. Through these callings, I have been given a sacred responsibility to serve God and keep my covenants I have made to Him by living righteously and magnifying my calling.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Cooper Barnson
Joseph Smith, although a prophet called of God to bring about the restoration of Christ's church in his earthly ministry and loved throughout the whole church for his action and work, is not worshipped, but respected, proclaimed, and keep a reverence for his sacrifice. Show more Show less
