Hi I'm Ryne

I grew up in Orem Utah. I actively participated in all sorts of high school events, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up loving all things sports. They were my passion and I still love them today, especially basketball, tennis, and American football. And, seeing that I now live in Spain, I'm learning to love soccer, although I'm pretty terrible compared to most Spaniards. I graduated from high school in May of 2017 and I'm planning on attending college in Utah which will hopefully lead me to medical school where I will learn and become an orthopedic surgeon. I can't wait to raise a family of my own one day and teach them the gospel to help them become happy. Meanwhile I'm serving an LDS mission and I couldn't be more satisfied! My mission began July 25th of 2017 and lasts two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this gospel is true. Christ established his came to Earth and established his true church which was later restored to its full truthfulness and power through Joseph Smith. By being a Mormon, I learn of Christ's commandments, live them, and I'm blessed and given a joyful life because of it. Being a Mormon isn't restrictive, it is freedom.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ's teachings thoroughly and honestly. Daily scripture study is a key in my own personal life and I know it blesses me. As I previously mentioned, I am serving a mission in Madrid Spain where I have the opportunity to live my faith on a 24/7 basis. I rely on our faith that God will help guide me to those who are willing and ready to hear his message. I rely on faith by trusting in God's plan and that he will bless my family and loved ones as I am away from them for two years. I rely on faith that I will be preserved and kept safe on my mission. I've come to realize that while I do "live my faith", my faith is what actually gives me life, happiness, and hope.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our father who loves us more than we can comprehend. Like us, God is a human who has a body. God is our ultimate role model, the perfect man in every area. He sent us down to Earth to gain a body and experiences and also to test and further develop our faith or trust in him. Because we are his children he wishes and hopes that we will live worthy and clean lives that will allow us to return to him again. He loves us so much that he chose to send his perfect, first born son, Jesus Christ, to Earth to teach us and ultimately atone or sacrifice for us to make it possible for us to live with our Father, God, again if we follow Christ's teachings.
