Hi I'm MarGene Von Forell

I grew up in Utah and Colorado and live in the great Northwest. I have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and play the piano, organ, clarinet and percussion instruments in a band and have sung and played for many choirs, school productions and theatrical musicals. I do many crafts: making dollhouses, sewing (including quilts), art work, cross-stitch, macrame and several others. I like to dance and perform in a tap-dance group and line-dance group. I'm a mother of 3 and grandmother of 10. I worked as an executive secretary, but am now retired.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was Mormon and was baptized when I was 8. However, through prayer and a number of spiritual experiences, I have found out for myself that this Church is true. I have felt my Heavenly Father's presence many times throughout my life, and He has cured me quite miraculously of illnesses and other health issues several times. I know that He loves us and cares for us and watches out for us and helps us when we need Him. I do not know where I would be if I didn't have the Church in my life. It has strengthened me and helped me through rough times. I hope that you can have the joy that I have felt through being a member of this Church.

How I live my faith

I have always been the organist for church, as well as played the piano for the choir for the last 50+ years. I also have sung in choirs throughout that time. I have taught high-school students an early-morning religion class before school for 12 years. I taught teenage girls in church, as well as coordinated and taught a ropes course program for teenage girls at their youth camp for 10 years. I taught the adult Sunday School class for 3 years. I also was the chorister for the children's organization, teaching songs to children ages 3-11 to be performed several times a year.
