Hi I'm Sylvia

I am a Mormon and have been my entire life. I grew up in Kaysville, Utah.

About Me

I worked in Boy Scouts for 30 years, being a Silver Beaver and I am Woodbadge trains as well. I am a mother of 4 children, 1 girl and 3 boys. I love to quilt, crochet, cross stitch and make jewelry. I served a mission with my husband on the Navajo Indian Reservation a few years ago and have been a Temple Ordinance worker at St. George Temple. I also enjoy family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me personally and he knows my name. He hears and answers my prayers and I can communicate with him anytime that I want and know that it is heard. The Mormon faith gives me so much happiness and satisfaction that I can not imagine my life without it. It is a way of life for me and I don't ever think about what I would spend my time doing if it were not doing the Lords work. I want to do the best that I can here on earth so that I can return and live with God, my eternal father and Jesus Christ my Savior. I want to make my family proud of me and have my Heavenly Father put his arms around me and say,"Well done, my sweet daughter".

How I live my faith

I was a course director for a scouting function that included 63 participants as well as a staff of other scouters. I worked with the children in various wards that I have lived in for a total of about 40 years. I have been a visiting teacher which I have truly enjoyed during my life. I have been a family history consultant helping people to understand their genealogy and researching their ancestors.
