Hi I'm Christophe

I am French but I live in the US with my family. I am a Professor of Computer Science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am husband and father. My wife and I have 8 children. I was raised in France, but ended up living in Canada, in the United Kingdom, in Switzerland, and in the United States. I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 3 years old, my parents met two Mormon missionaries on their way to a movie in a small town in the South Western part of France. They gave them their address and the missionaries later came and taught our family. While I do not remember that time, I do know that it changed the direction of our family. At the time, it was just my sister and I; both of my parents were engineers; my Dad had a fine job and we were headed to a life of ski in the winter, beach in the summer, etc. Instead, I was blessed with 5 more siblings! Needless to say that was the end of that, and indeed, I do not know how to ski! But how blessed I feel for the wonderful upbringing I received and for my brothers and sisters. While at first, being a Mormon was simply following Mom and Dad, the teenage years came with all of their questions, and I had to decide for myself. Little by little, I began to realize what difference the teachings and practices of the church made in my life. It is like I had always known these things to be true, but I reached a point where I now knew that I knew them to be true. And these feelings have continued to grow, together with more personal experiences over the years that have confirmed and strengthened my testimony that there is a God in heaven who rules the universe, who knows me personally and is interested in the details of my life, and who has restored the Gospel to the earth so that I may enjoy its blessings and live a fuller life.

How I live my faith

I am very involved with my church. I have worked with the youth for many years and have greatly enjoyed that association. Seeing them face the challenges of life with faith and live high moral standards gives me hope for the future.
