Hi I'm Lauren Southwick

I am currently serving an LDS mission in Birmingham, Alabama. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have incredibly loving parents and I am the youngest of 6. I went to school at Brigham Young University-Idaho for 3 semesters and studied Communication-Advertising. I am currently a missionary for the church in Birmingham, Alabama and loving it. I love Chick-Fil-A, photography, hiking, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Disneyland. My dream is to become a photographer for National Geographic, but seeing as I would like to be a full-time mom, that probably won't happen. I love this Gospel and I am so grateful for a living prophet who leads and guides the church under the direction of Jesus Christ Himself. No greater happiness comes than when we are living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

This Gospel has brought me insurmountable hope and love by the things I experience and the principles that are taught. I can't imagine life without the knowledge that I have right now. Eternal Life is obtainable. We will be with our families forever, what an incredible blessing. We are children of a loving Heavenly Father, He truly loves us and watches out for us. We have a living prophet on the earth today who guide this church through revelation from Jesus Christ. Who better to be the head of the church of Jesus Christ than Jesus Christ Himself? We truly have the fullness of His Gospel and I am so grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for the church in Birmingham, Alabama. In the past, I have served in callings to help me become a better person spiritually and even a better member of society. I was able to be on a youth council in our high school education programs as a Senior and I have been extremely blessed to see my parents serve in higher callings and watch how they live and how they serve in these callings, it has helped me become a better leader myself.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Lauren Southwick
The purpose of this life is to learn right from wrong, receive a body, receive a family, and ultimately become as much like Heavenly Father as we can (as imperfect humans). We are tested down here and put into situations that may be difficult to overcome, but we are learning how to become strong people who rely on the Lord. Show more Show less
