Hi I'm John Kapololu

I grew up Honolulu, HI. I'm a Mormon & have been a member all my life. I am eagerly engaged in all aspects of Church service.

About Me

Professionally, retired from the US Navy after 20 years service. Subsequently, worked in a shipyard and the power company. Fully retired. Served in many Church callings including leadership, teaching & mentoring capacities. Most recently involved in administrative positions with the Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is the son of a living God, & He lives. These are essential elements of the Gospel as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). Inherent in the Gospel is the fact that if we are worthy, we may return to the presence of Heavenly Father and live forever with Him. Also, when we are called to return to be with Father, we will be able to assemble with family members throughout the ages. Why am I a Mormon? To be able to return to Father and live with my loved ones.

How I live my faith

I have served in leadership positions among the members at the lowest level, including a congregation of about 500. Also, served in an administrative support position for a Church unit with membership about 3,500. As such, I make every effort to be obedient to the laws & standards of the Gospel, since I must be a positive example for all. This in & of itself is not difficult since these are commonly accepted standards of cleanliness, health, financial responsibility, good neighborliness, and family values.
