Hi I'm June

I'm a Mormon, I grew up in Southern California and converted to the Church when I was 15 years old.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and had little to no religious teaching or direction. I was "lost" and searching for direction. Though I didn't know about personal prayer I would ponder and wonder what direction I should go. I know that Heavenly Father was well aware of me and put people in my path that led me to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though young, when the Elders came to my home and taught me, I knew that I had heard this message before. I am so thankful that my friends referred the Elders to come teach me and that after joining I had love and support from my new Church family. I often look back upon that monumental decision at such a young age and thank that young girl for being so wise and so in tune though not understanding what that meant. I have had a wonderful life since then. I attended BYU, married in the LDS Los Angeles Temple, gave birth to four wonderful children. My three sons served missions and all my children were married in LDS Temples. I have worked in banking, became and VP and manager. Once I retired from banking I decided to do something I love and worked in fashion as a wardrobe consultant. I feel all the choices I have made since the day I got baptized led me to where I am now. My husband and I have been called to serve a mission, in SLC. It's another new and great adventure that will be full of blessings and growth. I am so thankful!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I would be a completely different person without the Gospel of Jesus Christ to lead and guide me. Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus Christ restored His church and I know I am a member of that true church. That is why I am a "Mormon", or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know His church has been restored, I know that if I follow the teachings of His restored Gospel, I will have eternal life. That is the great gift of a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have had so many wonderful opportunities to serve, from teaching in Primary to being Stake Relief Society President. It doesn't matter where you serve, as long as you do serve. The most important calling you have is the one you have right now. Callings to serve have taught me to love those hard to love, reach out to those others may ignore, and to do things I could have never done without the help of Heavenly Father who makes all things possible. I believe through Him, all things are possible.
