Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Northern California. I am currently serving in the Arkansas Bentonville Mission! I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi! I'm the youngest of a large family, who has spent time working and attending university. I ran track in high school and I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Arkansas Bentonville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. From a young age I enjoyed reading the Book of Mormon! When I was a child we were asked to pray to know if the Book of Mormon and the Church were true. As I knelt down that night to pray, the words had barely passed my lips when I felt a strong feeling in my heart, and seemed to hear a voice say, "You already know they are true." The past few years took me through some trying times, that tried my faith, but as I prayed, studied the scriptures, and turned to God I felt His comforting and forgiving power that helped to reaffirm my faith.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all things that I do. I've been involved with planning activities for the young single adult members and teaching lessons on Sunday. I try to accept any opportunity to serve and always enjoy sharing my faith with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Austin
Yes! We believe that God has always worked through prophets. People He has chosen to lead, warn, and guide His people back to them. In the year 1820 God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to a boy named Joseph Smith and called him to be a prophet. Since then we have had an unbroken chain of prophets to lead and guide us and point us to Christ until Christ comes again. Our current prophet is Russel M. Nelson. Show more Show less
