Hi I'm Richard

My home state of Wyoming was a wonderful place to grow up. I have practiced Orthopedic Surgery and enjoy being a Mormon!

About Me

My life has been committed to helping people with problems of bones, joints and muscles/tendons. I have seen wonderful miracles that extend beyond the results of medical science over 40 years of practice. As a father of 6 and grandfather of 19, I love the family and experiences with them. Since retiring I now love my quarter horses and the beauty of the outdoors. I recently built a bridge across a river and organized an irrigation system to conserve water.

Why I am a Mormon

The amazing creations about me testify continually of the presence of a divine creator. I am in awe when I study the complexity of the human body and know and feel the presence of God! The joy and wonders of the birth of human and animal life is miraculous. As I read and study the scriptures I feel the wonderful correlation with my scientific endeavors. The light and knowledge of Jesus Christ reinforces all of my feelings and understanding that I experience in this beautiful earth. I love my Savoir and the wonderful opportunity He has given me to enjoy His Gospel. He lives and loves all of us.

How I live my faith

To assist my local community I serve as a volunteer on the Board of Trustees for our hospital. I visit an elderly couple where the husband has early senility and struggles with communication. He loves it when I visit with him and it provides some relief for his wife. Three of my grandsons have achieved their Eagle Scout awards and I have attended the Award Ceremonies for them. Quite often I have the opportunity to assist people who seek medical information. It is very rewarding to help individuals get information that helps them make informed decisions.
