Hi I'm David Galloway

I grew up a "Mormon Boy" in a non-Mormon family.

About Me

I was born and raised in Provo, Utah. I served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Australia. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo and accepted a Regular Army commission in the US Army. I served three years at Ft. Knox, Kentucy, and then returned to Utah to obtain a Master's degree in accounting from Utah State University. I worked as an internal auditor for Boise Cascade Corporation, Energy Northwest, and Tech Data Corporation. I then served Brigham Young University and the University of Connecticut as both Chief Audit Executive and Chief Compliance Officer.

Why I am a Mormon

I attended the Mormon church as a young boy, having been born in the literal center of "Mormonism" in Provo, Utah. My parents appreciated the values of the Mormons although they themselves were not involved in the LDS Church. So I joined becasue it was convenient; but, I remain because a loving Heavenly Father bore witness to me, through His Spirit, of the correctness of the Book of Mormon. Gospel principles have since helped me meet and marry a wonderful girl who shares my commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, helped us raise five wonderful children, and continues to help us and our children raise ten wonderful grand children. This is the Lord's church and it truly helps me be a better man each day.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity of serving in many capacities in our church. I have most enjoyed working with our youth (ages 12 - 18) in our youth program and teaching seven-year-olds on Sunday. I have also been blessed to have opportunities to work in our temples, serving in the Provo, Utah; Boston, Massachusetts; and Hartford, Connecticut temples.
