Hi I'm Kayla

I grew up in Utah. I am a sister, a daughter, and a friend. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ fo Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

My name is Kayla, I am a college student and an athlete on the swim team. I am going to school to become an American Sign Language Interpreter. I have two lovely parents that love, teach, and guide me. I am the oldest of 5 sibilings. On my free time, I enjoy being out in the sun and being in the water; kayaking, paddle boarding, cliff jumping and wakeboarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of the Peace it brings me. I am eternally grateful for the Atonement and the sacrifice that our loving Savior did on our behalf. Our loving Heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins, pain, and sorrow of ALL mankind. I am grateful that we have the opportunity to repent of our sins and become clean again, and that we can partake of the Sacrament every week to renew those covenants/promises with our Heavenly Father. Because of the Atonement, we can become better people and lead a more Christ-like life. My favorite scripture comes from the book Alma in the Book of Mormon. Alma 5:33 reads: "Behold, he sendeth an invitation unto all man, for the arms of mercy are extended towards them, and he saith: Repent, and I will receive you." This scripture has given me the strength I need to push on. I'm beyond happy that the Savior accepts and receives me when I've made mistakes and have fallen short. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Love us with all their hearts and want us to live righteously so we can return and live with them again someday. I love this gospel and the light it brings into my life!!! I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandments of the Lord. I attend my church meetings, read the scriptures daily, attend the temple, and pray to my Heavenly Father. I also dress modestly, keep my language clean, and try to serve others often. I love the Lord and I try to emulate his light through my action and interactions with others in my everyday life.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon, just like the Bible, testifies and teaches of Jesus Christ. It testifies that our loving Savior lived and died for us and that he also gave strength, taught and healed those that came unto him. Together the Book of Mormon and the Bible, working in unison, stand as a witness that there is a Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
