Hi I'm Braden

I grew up in St. Louis, live in Texas. I play rugby. I sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Graduated High School in 2017 and will be attending college at Brigham Young University after an extended mission trip. I love to play Rugby! I play almost any position but prefer playing flanker or lock. I also enjoy almost any other sport including basketball, football, and ultimate. I am a huge fan of singing Choral music. In High School I participated in choir all four years of my career. I also play some piano and saxophone (Barri Saxophone to be specific). I grew up all over the united States: California, Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, Texas. My family lived in Missouri for the longest amount of time but I glad to call Texas my home.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents where born Mormon, meaning their parents were already Mormon. They chose to continue living the principals of the gospel (the teachings of our church from the Bible, Book of Mormon and other sources of modern day revelation such as Prophets). I am grateful they did because I was able to be raised with the same principles from a young age, however I did not continue to live these principles or remain Mormon because it was what my parents wanted or because it was all I have known. My personality is one that lends to hands experience and scientific proof that I can verify on my own. This is especially problematic in a chemistry course where we are only permitted to "observe' the reactions and have no ability to test it ourselves. I was the same way when it came to Mormonism. I looked at it from all angles, trying to get an outsiders perspective on everything we believe. I studied other religions such as Hindu, Buddhism, Muslim, Judaism, and other Christian faiths. What I found was that yes, Mormons have some strange beliefs, but that does not make them any less true. My faith in this Gospel and this Church has been and will continue to be built on trails and tests and the occasional shot in the Dark. An ancient Book of Mormon prophet taught that

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in New Jersey sharing the message of peace and joy that I believe comes with the gospel. On my mission I help members of the local community through a variety of service opportunities as well as teach our message in both English and Spanish. Before my mission I was also was an active member of my community helping my church as a youth leader and assisting my school as an NHS member.
