Hi I'm Misty Tidwell

I'm a born n raised Utah. Oldest of 4 girls born to Robert and Chris Johnson. I have a son and a daughter. I Serve as YW Secretary

About Me

I was mostly raised in Spring City, Sanpete County. I moved to Loa, Wayne County in 1992 and my roots lie in both places. I have a son 12 and a daughter 9. My son is the second priesthood holder in my family for generations. My oldest nephew being first before him. I am married to Benjamin Tidwell from Nephi, Juab, Ut. We have been legally separated 9 yrs. now on Aug 27 2017. I realized at the age 34 when I found myself in a jail cell pondering the events that lead up to me being there. My cell mate and I both for the 1st timewhen I first felt the Holy Ghost. I had began the LDS 12 steps program in Juab County Jail and was working the steps and made a choice right then to get my bishop involved as I was on step 5 when I was released from jail 6 weeks later. I also chose to never look back from there for I could not deny I knew the things I heard and read there were true. I have changed my whole entire life around. I went into jail being devastated, humiliated, terrified, unsure and lost and come out knowing what having a foundation meant. I knew I needed one for yrs I heard it ring in my head but had no idea what it meant and now it's unshaken and firm. I am very grateful for ending up there that night.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Morman because I choose to be because I have been lost and broken and alone. I hit my knees one night totally scared, alone, lost and no direction. I felt defeated, worthless, wounded and lower than I ever imagined possible. My addiction to Meth had finally robbed it all from me. I had a broken heart and a contrite spirit and as humble as could be. I asked the lord to take me for I know not what I need, where I am to belong or who I need to get me there. I asked to take me where I need to go and help me to start to recognize where, who and what I need. I ended up in a jail cell with a woman so pure in heart and spirit I still do not believe she was in that jail. I believe the only reason she was there was because I needed a pure still Angel at that moment to save my soul. She did just that and was gone that fast. I walk with total faith in God and the book of Morman n The Bible. I know that my redeemer Lives and attoned for our sins. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and I know that through the atonement and faith in God all things are indeed possible. I know the commandments are Gods law and I know we should love everyone as Jeasus did and I know God knows and loves us all more than we do ourselves. Amen

How I live my faith

My children are being raised in the Gospel. My son holds the Priesthood and I serve as Lyman Ward YW Secretary. My daughter wishes to be baptized as soon as the Lord sees it fit. I have a unshaken testimony of my brother Jesus Christ, my Father In Heaven and in Joseph Smiths translation of the Book of Morman. I am a Morman faithfully and actively forever now. I have total faith in words that drive me every day that "If He Brings you to it, He will indeed bring you through it." I am very grateful for my ward family, the Gospel in my life and the power of the atonement. I love President Monson and pray for his strength and endurance. I serve as a Visiting Teacher in our Spanish sector with Julie who serves as 1st Counselor. I have been very blessed to serve in my callings with such wonderful people so full of love for me.
