Hi I'm Jessie

I grew up in a small town in Utah county, Utah. I love to play soccer and mess around with my brothers and I am a mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college, but getting ready to serve a mission in the California Sacramento mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I played soccer in high school as well as throwing javelin, shot put, and discus (mostly shot and jav) for Track & Field. I love getting to know other people and spending time outdoors in God's beautiful creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but in this Church, we are taught to gain our own testimony of the truthfulness of it. My parents raised me in such a way that I could discover, for myself, that this gospel is true. I have read the scriptures, specifically the Book of Mormon, and prayed for myself and asked God if it was true and I have gained my own, unwavering testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church and that what we are taught in the scriptures, as long as they are translated correctly, are true and that we do have real and living prophets on the face of the earth today. They converse with God and the prophet, President Thomas S Monson, does receive revelation for the whole Church directly from God the Father. I know this to be true and there is not a trial or challenge that I will face that will take this testimony from me.

How I live my faith

I am in a presidency that is over the women in my ward. In my presidency, we put together activities and delegate visiting teaching assignments to the women of our ward to make sure that we all feel the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, as well as our Heavenly Father. I also pray for the women in my ward that if any of them are struggling that I will be able to see a need of their's and fill it in whatever way that I can. I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ in reaching out to others and letting them know that they are not alone and that they have a Father in Heaven that loves them, because we are all His children.
