Hi I'm Audrey Rodriguez

I play the piano and the ukulele. I am a student at BYU-H, working to become a school counselor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Audrey, I am a college student working to become a psychologist. I love yoga, reading, hiking, camping and pretty much any activity out in nature. I claim that I am from Washington state although I have lived in Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Idaho, and Colorado. Music is a passion of mine, both listening and playing. I just got called on a mission to New Caledonia and am beyond stoked to go serve our Lord and share the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel brings me joy. I feel that this earth has many dark and dreary corners that we can easily turn to or even just stumble upon. But this gospel has lead the opposite direction. It provides a message of hope and a feeling of salvation through its doctrine, and Spirit. Christ has been my cornerstone that I can fall back on and rely on. I have realized over time that when I whole heartedly give myself to Him and to the service of His people, that is when I am most happy and content with myself. We were not put here on this earth individually one by one to figure things out by ourselves. We are placed here on this earth with many people, with a community, with a leader, and most importantly with a family so that we can help one another and learn and grow together. Being a mormon is a message of joy, it is a reassurance of our purpose on earth. It brings meaning to every action I take, and choice I make. It provides guidance to me, and it brings hope and purpose to my life that is so easily dimmed by the darkness and gloom of this earth. We are here that we might learn and improve ourselves and one another so that we might return to our Heavenly Father above. And this gospel provides a means by which we can become our very best and most pure selves so that we can partake in the joy this earth has to offer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to Church each Sunday, by reading my scriptures everyday, and by teaching what I have learned to my family and more specifically my little sisters. Also I am preparing to serve a mission where I will be going to the island of New Caledonia to share my knowledge of the gospel and the message of Christ with the people there for 18 months.
