Hi I'm Sierra Pogue

I am a college student. I love my family and friends. I love to rock climb and sing, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, and although my studies are my main priority, I also enjoy photography, theater, singing, playing instruments, and spending time outdoors. I am the oldest of 4 children in my family. I have just recently been called to serve a mission for the LDS church, and I am SO excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church, however I still needed to be converted to the gospel on my own, and with my own experience. God's plan for us includes us having the opportunity to live with Him again. In order for this to happen, He asks us to follow his guidance, teachings in the scriptures, and commandments. In addition to this, He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to earth to atone and die for our sins. While the atonement is largely about repentance, the redeeming love of Christ's sacrifice for all of us continues to bless my life every day that I follow Him. I am a Mormon because I feel God's love for me when I follow the teachings of His gospel, as well as through the power of the atonement.

How I live my faith

In my ward, all of the women are asked to reach out to other women in the ward. This time when we meet with our assigned ward members gives us all an opportunity to take an interest in their lives and share the gospel during short lessons. I also teach lessons to the women of the ward during one Sunday of each month.
