Hi I'm Marnae

I'm an author, a blogger, and an introvert, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and an incredibly introverted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After years of struggling to find my place as an introvert in an extroverted faith (and world), I decided to start a blog dedicated to that struggle in the hopes of inspiring other Mormon introverts to be proud of who they are and discover their unique strengths. I enjoy reading, music, British television, and writing. I am currently in the process of editing my first novel, a space opera inspired by the classic A Room with a View by E.M. Forster.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two wonderful, loving parents who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I am very grateful to have been brought up in the church. However, within the last few years, I decided that it was time to find out for myself if what I have been taught for all of these years is really true. I love that the church teaches us that if we have a question, we can ask God and find out the answer. In fact, we are strongly encouraged to do this. I still have questions, and I don't know everything, but I do know that the church is true. I have asked, and I have received that answer. This truth is so important to me, and I know that continuing to live it will bring me happiness in this life and the next.

How I live my faith

It's important to me to lift up others and help them realize that they are important and loved by God. I started my blog with this goal in mind. I am always looking for opportunities to serve others. I volunteered for an organization in the past that collected musical instruments and donated them to schools. Currently I volunteer time to enter family history records online when I can so that people can find out about their ancestors and feel connected to them.
