Hi I'm Jonathan

I grew up in Utah. I'm about to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, playing soccer, rappelling, hiking, running, and ballroom dancing. I'm studying nursing/pre-med at college but have put that on hold to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but I still had to be converted to this gospel. I had to really figure out what I believed for myself and to grow and develop my own testimony. I have chosen to continue to be a member of this church and to follow Jesus Christ because I have personally seen how much better life is while following Jesus Christ and living His gospel. There is joy, peace, and hope that comes from the gospel. I know Jesus Christ lives, and that he atoned for our sins and knows each of us personally. There is a relationship between each of us and Jesus Christ that is absolutely incredible. He knows us so well. He knows our joys, our sorrows, our hopes, and our fears. He knows exactly what we need to help us be comforted, to help us change our lives for the better, and to help us teach and help others. I know that we also have an amazing relationship with God, and that He is our Heavenly Father. We are all His sons and daughters. He loves us and listens to us. When we pray, He hears us and helps us in a way that He knows is going to be best for us. He has a perfect and eternal perspective, and if we follow Him and His Son, we can live with our families for eternity. I know Joseph Smith Jr. was a true prophet of God. He established the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints through the direction of God, Jesus Christ, and angels. Thomas S. Monson is the leader of this church today, and he is a true prophet. I know that this church holds the truth and that we can find real and lasting happiness through it. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I visit families around me and get to know them and find out if there's ways that I can help them. I used to help teach college students about how to research their family history to learn more about them and to find stories from them about their spiritual experiences. I've recently been called to serve a mission, so soon I'll be going to another country to serve the people and to preach the joy and hope that comes from this gospel.
