Hi I'm Carter

I was born in and have grown up in Utah. I've been a member all my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy drawing, reading, rock climbing, and playing guitar and piano. I participated in junior livestock shows throughout Utah. I participated in the Scouting program, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2015. I also went to Boys State in the summer of 2015, and had a great time! I plan on attending BYU when I return from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a faithful family, the first of four kids. I have stayed active all of my life, and through great teachers, leaders, scripture study, and prayer, I have developed a testimony of the truthfulness of this church. The gospel has been restored, and I have been blessed to know it all my life! I know that this church is true. Joseph Smith was true prophet, and he saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. He restored the church in these latter days. The Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith translated it through the power of God. Thomas S. Monson, our prophet today, is also a true prophet. He leads and guides the church with the Spirit. I know that the Atonement is real. Jesus Christ loved us, each one of us, so much that He was willing to suffer and give up his life so that we could return to our Father in Heaven someday. That love is real, and each of us can feel it in our lives.

How I live my faith

When I was between 12 and 18 years of age, I held leadership positions in young men groups almost all the time! I went home-teaching with my father. In November 2015, my family and I had to move. It was quite unexpected, and it was difficult leaving the ward and stake I had lived in for 14 years. However, I did get to stay in my hometown, and I have loved my new ward. There are fewer youth in this ward, but it has been great to get to know them and spend time with them.
