Hi I'm Amanda

I am a bagel maker and mom in Utah. I love to learn. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hobbies/Interests: Reading, baking, cooking, old movies, crafts, home improvement. I am a Mom, twin boys age 12. I am currently in the Pathway program in my first semester. I just got back into triathlons, and did a relay with my sister-in-law.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the LDS church. When I was a child, my parents taught me about the gospel. As I have had experiences and trials in my life, I realized that when I turn to the Lord I am strengthened and I grow. There is a comfort in knowing who I really am, where I come from, and why I am here on the Earth. The gospel gives my life meaning and purpose. As I strive to live a good life, and follow the example of Jesus Christ, I am fulfilling the potential that God sees in me.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary in my ward. I go out with my husband, who is our missionary leader to visit new members of the church in our area. I try and share my beliefs in church meetings and classes. I have two 12 year olds, and I try and teach them how to be good citizens and to stand up for what they believe is right.

What is the priesthood?

The priesthood is the ability to do God's work, like ordinances and blessings. The priesthood is given to worthy boys and men starting at age 12. As women we can support and strengthen priesthood holders by helping those we know stay worthy of this power. We are blessed to have the priesthood on the earth today, as it was restored to Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
