Hi I'm Evelyn Boehm

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I am a mother of four wonderful children and a grandmother of 11. They bring me great joy!

About Me

I have a wonderful and supportive husband. We have been married for 53 years. I am the mother of three daughters and a son. I am also the grandmother of eleven grandchildren. They are all the light of my life. We reside in the State of California but are currently living in Nauvoo, Illinois.. I love to read, do crossword puzzles and search out my ancestors to learn more about what countries they came from. My father is a full-blooded Dane, although born in Utah. My mother has English, Welsh, Scottish, and German blood lines. Family history work is challenging, but also very rewarding. My husband's family comes from Eastern Germany (Saxony). I am currently serving in the Nauvoo Temple Mission in Illinois. I love being here because I have several great grandparents who lived in Nauvoo in the late 1830's and early 1840's. Because of their religion, the Mormons were forced to leave their beloved city and travel to Salt Lake City and rebuild their lives and families.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my love for Jesus Christ, His example, and for His atoning sacrifice. He loved me so much that He gave His life and died so that I may have eternal life. There is no other way to attain eternal life other than through keeping His commandments and living as good a life as I am able. I make mistakes, but He will cover those holes and errors in my life as I try to correct them. He is my Advocate with the Father, and I love Him and have made a commitment to keep His commandments.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others and have had the opportunity to serve three missions. At 21, I served for two years in the South German and West German Missions. My second mission was serving as companion to my husband who was the Mission President in Russia Samara. We served there for three years. We are now serving our third mission together in the Nauvoo Temple Mission in the State of Illinois. We have loved the countries and people with whom we have served. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father.
