Hi I'm Felecia

I've had a long conversion period... but Heavenly Father never gave up on me. I'm now proud to say I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a preschool teacher at a child development center. I really love my job, even though some days can get pretty tough! However, playing with children and being a part of their growth is so rewarding! I enjoy the outdoors - Hiking. Camping. Adventuring!

Why I am a Mormon

In 2011, I met my first missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Back then, I didn't have the faith to move forward with them. My circumstances back then made me think that I didn't need God or the gospel to find my way back to happiness. From then until this recent summer of 2016, my need to reach out to missionaries and the Book of Mormon again grew. When I knew I wanted to be baptized, I shared this with my boyfriend at the time, and my family. The result was not a good one. My mother was disappointed in my choice, fearing I had made the wrong one, and my boyfriend gave me an ultimatum: him or the church. Knowing in my heart that the gospel was giving me joy, and changing my life in a positive way, I chose the church over him. I knew Heavenly Father was reaching out to me every step of the way. He knew I would finally accept the gospel in full faith, because I have greater faith now than I did then. Heavenly Father did not give up on me. The gospel of Jesus Christ has become my compass: my guide back to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I've felt a greater purpose with my ward as soon as I received my calling to Young Women's. While I haven't started fulfilling my calling, seeing as I just received it, I am looking forward to teaching the youth! I also try to attend lessons with the missionaries as much as I can!

What is faith?

Felecia
With faith, we believe. When we believe, we see. When we have great faith in Heavenly Father, we begin to trust him with all our heart. As a result, we act on our faith, which can lead to our personal testimony of God. Show more Show less
