Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV in the United States. I'm currently attending school through BYU-I, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little bit about me - I'm 24 years old, I've been a member of the church my entire life. My hobbies include stargazing, reading, cross stitching, and making music on my laptop. I'm not married yet, but I hope to be one day and with kids of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've been a member my entire life - after going on a recent vacation and visiting a friend, I went to church with him to see what he believes. There were so many different things that stood out to me as odd, or different. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church and that Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith. It's taken me forever to get this knowledge on my own because I did stray from the path, but by prayer and repentance, I've been able to come back, and I'm grateful for that.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I've held many different positions, or callings, as I've grown up. Currently, I lead the music in church and I love doing so because I'm very music oriented.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Megan
We perform baptisms for the dead so that those that have passed on may also have a chance to be members and live with Heavenly Father again. After we die, we are still learning in the life after this, and as we learn, we have the choice to accept the Gospel, and if we do, then we are able to have living relatives, or members perform the baptisms.
