Hi I'm Lealand

I've grown up in Utah and am about to serve a mission in Africa.

About Me

I am a young adult who is about to leave on a mission. I have been a member of the LDS church for as long as I can remember and will be leaving to serve a mission in December. I have been able to enjoy many things through out my life including paint balling, snowboarding, dirt biking, serving in my church callings, attending camps with youth groups as both a youth and a leader. In short I'm just like any one else and enjoy many things that others do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is the only religion where I have been able to feel a peace and know that there is a purpose to this life along with a higher purpose. I have been to a few other religious gatherings and while i have been able to feel the spirit in some of the things that have been said by the religious officials conducting the meeting I have always felt that they are missing certain aspects that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been able to offer me. I am a Mormon because I have never felt anything that close to the feelings I have had because of being a member of this wonderful church.

How I live my faith

I participate to the best of my ability in my callings which right now is serving the the young men's presidency as a second counselor. This places me over youth boys ages 14 to 16 in my ward as a counsel and help to them. I attend the temple to the best of my ability usually consisting of a weekly visit. I am able to stay close to my faith by reading the Book of Mormon each day and learning from the past.
