Hi I'm Davis

I am a baseball player, enjoy the beach, and snowboarding. I am one of seven siblings. I am a Mormon

About Me

I went to college for a year after High school where I played baseball and studied business. I am preparing to leave on a two year mission for our church to Mexico City.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and never really had my own testimony until I was around 14-15. I had heard my brothers and sisters bear their testimonies and I would have this feeling of happiness come over me, and it made me want to know for myself if the church was true. I was encouraged by church members to read the Book of Mormon if I wanted to know if it was true for myself. I went on to read the scriptures for myself and ponder the words that I was reading. After reading I would always feel a special feeling inside of me. I went on to pray to our Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true, again this feeling of peace came over me. I now know without a doubt that because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet, he saw Jesus Christ and God and they instructed him to restore Jesus Christ's church back on the earth today. The Church is the same today as when Christ was on the earth when he last came. And because I know this truth it brings much peace and joy to my life. I have been given so much from our loving Heavenly Father and feel very blessed to be a apart of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Each week I meet in a chapel with my branch, there we partake of the sacrament and listen to talks from members in our church. Then we meet together to have Sunday school and have Christ centered lessons. I have been blessed with the calling in my church to teach Sunday school for youth aged 14-15. It is a very humbling experience for me to prepare lessons and interact with the youth of our church.
