Hi I'm Ryan Foster

I've always been in England, and i can't imagine growing up anywhere else. I joined the Church just over two years ago.

About Me

I have always lived in England and can't imagine living anywhere else. I've always been a lover of the simple things in life, taking long walks through the countryside, going to see castles and manor houses, learning new things (History in particular, but I'm not fussy). I love to play Basketball at a non competitive level, and my favourite team are the Chicago Bulls, and not just because Michael Jordan played for them before you ask.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, its really simple, Its because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is True. You heard, its True. Not only me saying that is True but the very fact that this church is very very true. Being a part of this church and being a Mormon has opened up some very incredible avenues, including going to Utah to see the Great Salt Lake and even getting to see General Conference. Even down to meeting new people and have them welcome you with open arms, as if you are a distant relative returning home from holiday. We as Mormons treat everyone the same, thats what is so great about it, and when we know another Mormon has travelled form a distant land we put in that extra effort to go the extra mile for them. Being a Mormon is great, and has blessed my life continually for over Two years now, and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I testify that this is the true church, that Jesus is the Chirst and the saviour of the world and that there truly is a plan for us to return home to our Heavenly Father one day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day, sometimes a couple of years in advance. I joined the church just over two years ago. Immediately I was given a calling or a responsibility within the Young mens, where i was able to increase my knowledge of the gospel and teach the Young Men of the church. I was also able to plan fun activities for them, whilst giving them a skill, also planning great trips, one of the best was Climbing Mount Snowdon in Wales. During this year and a half i was able to teach them so much from the church lessons, but i was able to learn so much from the young men also. After being released from this calling i was called into the 18+ Group, this in itself is also trialling, however, it has already taught me great humility to trust in what the Lord is doing in my life, that all things are used to increase our knowledge in this life. Currently serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission, and so far its been a blast getting to know others just like me, and learning lots more about the Gospel.
