Hi I'm Alyssa Doig

I grew up in Canada, I'm a sophmore at BYU, I love sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college sophmore studying business and political science. I love playing and watching sports, specifically basketball, baseball and football. I love the outdoors, and most summers I can be found waterskiing behind my family's boat. I love to play the piano and the saxophone. I'm the oldest in my family and I have three younger brothers. I love spending time with my friends and extended family!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love Christ and his gospel. I grew up a Mormon, but I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and felt its strength and power in my life, and the Holy Ghost has borne witness to me that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's gospel to the earth. I know that Christ performed the atonement for all of us individually, and that by him and through him we can be strengthend through our trials. I know that through Christ's atonement my weakenesses can be transformed into strengths, and that through Christ I can develop confidence and love for those around me. I know that I'm a child of a Heavenly Father with divine potential. Being a Mormon brings me so much joy and happiness!

How I live my faith

I try to actively participate in my church and community. I play the piano in church and also organize weekly activities for other young adults in my ward. As part of my faith I try to be kind and loving as Christ would towards those around me. I recently received my mission call to the Australia Sydney South Mission and I can't wait to get out and teach and serve the people in Australia!
