Hi I'm Michaelee

I am the oldest of seven. I am serving an 18 month mission before I go to college. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in a family of nine. I am the oldest of seven kids. I just graduated from high school, and I chose to serve a full-time mission before I go to college. My high school was very small. I graduated at the top of my class of 125 students. I was one of two members in my grade, and there were a total of seven members in the whole school. I participated in soccer, choir, and art club. I love music, painting, and being outside. I took a trip to Washington, D.C., over the summer and I absolutely loved it. Travelling is so fun.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old, a couple of sister missionaries asked if I would like to join them for a lesson. I said yes, and that has changed my life forever. I soon found myself going to several lessons a week, then seeings them every day for almost a month. It was like I was a third missionary! They showed me the ups and downs, the ins and outs, and the miracles and heartbreaks of missionary work. From that experience, my testimony grew more than I knew at the time. I had a stronger testimony in more than just missionary work, but also in prayer, scripture study, repentance, following the spirit, and enduring trials. Because of their testimonies and examples, I have a love for the gospel that I will never let dwindle or go unnoticed.

How I live my faith

When I graduated, I started attending a small church meeting that was held for college age students in my area. I didn't know anyone very well, and I was very new to new "grown up" things. After about a month of going, I was given a calling, or assignment, that was very big and new to me. At 18 years old, I was put in charge of every woman who attended. Each of these women were older than me and knew a lot more than I did, but I took on that calling with faith that the Lord would teach me the things I needed to know.
