Hi I'm Cindy Alldredge

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, genealogist, cloth doll artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have a wonderful husband and parents, five lovely children, seven awesome grandchildren and a beautiful great granddaughter. I also love my ancestors especially as I research and learn more about them. I am a genealogist. I enjoy home arts and I have won ribbons at the fair for baking, food preservation and sewing cloth dolls. I am a fabric and textile artist. I am also an obsessive reader. I love mysteries, epic fantasy, history and great authors of all genres. I love books!

Why I am a Mormon

I love to study the scriptures and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I was raised in a less active Mormon family and felt I needed to learn about the Church for myself. So I have spent many years studying the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I feel that the Mormon Church does have the same organization as the early church as described in the Bible. I also believe that because of Christ's atonement and grace all men can be saved and all will be resurrected.

How I live my faith

I actively attend and serve in the Mormon church. Because the Church does not have a paid ministry I have served in many capacities throughout the years. I have taught children, teens and adults. I've served as the leader at girls camp. My husband and I were cooks at girls camp preparing three meals a day for the 200+ attendees, twice! I also enjoy helping others learn to research and find their ancestors. I teach classes on research strategies at a Family History Center where we volunteer.
