Hi I'm Alexis

I live in Brigham City, Utah and am currently serving my mission in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

About Me

I am 18 and I have always loved to play basketball and be with friends. I am currently going to college at Utah State and am still not sure exactly what my major is. I do know that I want to be a high school teacher and hopefully a basketball coach. I am now serving my mission in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I hope that as I serve I can bring as many people as possible in to the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because if I wasn't, I have no idea where I would be. I grew up in the church and it is something that gives me so much peace and comfort. I have come to develop my own testimony of the church as I did lean on my parents for so long. But I now have a firm testimony that this is the one and only true church on the earth. I know that Jesus died for me and for everyone else so that we can someday return to live with our Heavenly Father again. And because I know that, I also know that we can be with our loved ones forever. I know that Joseph Smith is and was a true prophet of Christ, who translated the Book of Mormon so that we can have it in these latter days. I know that we have a true and living prophet on this earth today, Thomas S. Monson and I know that he was called of God and he knows how to guide and direct us, along with all of his apostles. I don't know what I would do without this Gospel and knowledge of it in my life. I cannot wait to share this knowledge that I have with everyone that I can. I love this Gospel and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true. I say these things in the name of our loving savior, Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I have been in presidencies through out my young women's experience and have been a Sunday school teacher for 12 and 13 year olds and I always loved those things. I am now on my mission and I could not be more thankful. I love this work and hope that as I go out to preach, that I will be able to bring other people unto this true and everlasting gospel.
