Hi I'm Tiffany

I grew up in the United States and am full Chinese. I am serving an LDS mission in Taiwan Taipei from 2016-2018.

About Me

Ever since I was little I've always been super shy. It was always hard for me to meet new people or talk in front of an audience, but one way I am able to communicate with people is through music. Music has been a big part of my life since I was little, I love playing the piano and I love how it is able to connect people regardless of the differing language or culture. One of my all time favorite church songs is "I Feel My Savior's Love". Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful with its calming melody, but I have truly felt my Savior's love for me! As I've grown up in the church, I've been able to further my understanding and show my love for this church through music and the teachings. I have chosen to serve a mission because this church has brought me a lot of happiness and peace. I want to teach others about the love the Savior has for each one of us and how we can have eternal happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I never fully understood it. I would think to myself, "God doesn’t care about me. Why would He love me when there are so many other better people out there?" I lived like this for a long time; I would try to figure out how everyone could testify that they knew God loved them and that He knew us each individually. I've always been pretty shy growing up, so making friends for me was hard. In the beginning of 2015 I started to feel alone again, all of my friends were leaving me for missions. I felt like I had been left in the dust, just like always. I knew that what they were doing was the right thing, but I questioned Heavenly Father and pleaded with Him to help me make friends because I didn’t want to be alone again. After pleading to him to not leave me alone, I realized that I never was alone. Although I had never noticed it up until then, God had never left me alone whether I realized it or not. He would strategically place certain people in my life so that I was never truly alone. I was able to make life long friends and God had placed them in my life because He loved me. These people have helped me to realize my potential and further my understanding of this gospel and the love that God has for us! Once I realized this, I started bawling because I was washed over with the comfort and love God had for me. He hadn’t abandoned me because I wasn’t good enough, He had always been by my side providing good people in my life so that I would feel loved. I started reading my scriptures consistently and praying to know if what I was reading was true. I didn’t get an immediate answer, but I slowly started to realize how my life started to change and the blessings that I had been given. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ both love us so much, to a point that I can’t even put a limit to it. This gospel has changed my life so much, because of this gospel I have felt an unsurpassable amount of love and forgiveness, and that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to be obedient to my parents and to the teachings of the Lord. Through this, I have accepted callings in church such as being a pianist. Because I am a relatively shy person, music is the best way for me to show and testify about the truthfulness of this church. I know that God purposely gave me this calling because not only have they helped me grow to understand His teachings, but also because it helps me utilize my talents to testify to others about His love.
