Hi I'm Colleen Moyes

I am a Mormon. I grew up mostly in Idaho USA. I am married and we are grandparents to twenty three beautiful grandchildren.

About Me

I grew up with one sister and three brothers. My parents were divorced when we were all young and my mother took over trying to raise us and working three jobs to keep us in a home and food on the table. We learned how to take care of ourselves and be very resourceful. I graduated from college with a associate degree from college and married my high school sweetheart. We raised six children on the farm. They finished college and are now parents themselves. I was a stay at home mom and stayed busy raising the children. Now that they are gone we are doing a lot of traveling visiting family. We love to snowmobile and ride four wheelers as much as we can. The mountains are our favorite place to be. I love to sew. I have found I love to make quilts. It is like putting a puzzle together. I am now making a quit for every grandchild. I am also taking care of my mother that is struggling with her health.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church gives me a purpose in life. I know my Father in Heaven loves me. I received that testimony when I was a young girl struggling with my future. The church gives me peace because I know the purpose of life. I am here to show my Heavenly Father that I love him and want to live with him again with my family. He doesn't ask much of us except to love each other and be his hands to serve everyone.

How I live my faith

I am now on a mission for my church with my Husband. It has been the most rewarding experience we have had. I love living the gospel because it makes me happy. There is always a place to serve someone. I have served in many callings in my life. My first calling was a Sunday school teacher when I was still in high school. I have served the youth for over twenty years teaching and in leading positions. I have gone to camp with lots of fun girls for weeks at a time or organized fun outings with forty children teaching pioneer skills. I have been working with the women in our church for many years teaching and strengthening their faith. I love to organize projects to help serve people in need. Cleaning homes for the sick, gathering food for a family in need, making quilts for a family that lost their home. It has been sp rewarding unday school teacher in high school.
