Hi I'm Mimi

I sing soprano, play the violin, and love Disney movies! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I LOVE to sing! I have been a part of church choir my whole life and hope to sing for a career in the future. I recently started a YouTube channel! I write songs and wrote and Illustrated a children's book about dreams coming true. I worked for my family's business for a couple of years. I play the violin, I love Disney, archery, fantasy novels, and girls camp! I have always been interested in Japan and its incredible language and culture. So when I received my call to serve as a missionary there, it was my personal dream come true! I can't wait to go and to serve there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! So much of the happiness found in the world is temporary, but the happiness and the joy the gospel brings is eternal. I have been so blessed to have been born into and raised in a family that finds importance in God's will. As a result I grew up going to church every Sunday and loving and studying the scriptures. I love the Book of Mormon and I have read it many times. As I pray about the teachings within, my testimony of Jesus Christ as my personal Savior has grown. Not only because I have prayed about it and received a personal witness of its validity, but because living the principles contained within it's pages has kept me safe from so much of the sorrow I have seen in my generation, and brought me more happiness then I could have ever imagined! I love this Church and being a part of it! I invite anyone who wants to know such joy to begin their own journey of understanding and develop a personal relationship with God.

How I live my faith

My family has been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for three generations. This has given me the opportunity to learn the teachings of Jesus Christ in a natural and steady way. As I learned to give service to my community and show respect for others I have found joy in my life. My family has always been close and we share a love for the words and teachings of God found in the Holy Scriptures. I have a testimony that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the principles of truth. I live my faith in everything I do throughout my life. The values I have learned in my youth help to guide and shape my choices and it brings me so much joy!

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Mimi
We believe that we all lived with our Heavenly Father as His spirit children before coming to this mortality. This means that we had many close relationships prior to coming to earth. in order to be able to grow and mature as individuals, our Heavenly Father sent us here to develop our faith in Him, receive physical bodies and learn to obey his commandments of our own free will. We were promised many blessing if we chose the path that returned us to Him. We also understood that there would be many struggles. Friendships that we develop here help us to receive these blessings and overcome the hardships of life. Learning to live the gospel principles helps us learn to love each other and helps us to learn to give freely of our talents and efforts. serving each other opens the heart and allows love to grow. I value the many friendships I have made and know that these friendships can continue for eternity. Love is what the gospel is about, and love is shown through kindness, gentleness, mutual respect and service.I believe that the bonds of friendship started before this life and can continue if we choose to love God and our fellow man above our natural tendencies of selfishness.
