Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in the Boise, Idaho area. I'm serving a mission in the California Fresno Mission, Spanish speaking.

About Me

During High School, I developed a passion for Engineering. I was also a part of the schools Competitive Robotics program, where we participated in the Vex Robotics Competition. I mainly wrote the software for the robots, but I also participated in the design of the physical robots. I have worked many different jobs throughout my life, starting at age 11, mowing lawns for my neighbors. I continued my self-employment up until I left for mission, and had quite a few customers. I have also worked as a teacher in a local school district, as well as for their grounds crew. I have also worked as a software developer for a major technology company. I love working on cars with my Dad, as well as work in general. I love going Jeeping (Off-Roading) in my spare time. Some of my hobbies include working, playing tennis, camping, and learning. Currently, I am serving in the California Fresno Mission, Spanish speaking. After my mission, I plan to peruse a career in Mechanical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, so for a long time, I always relied on my parents and grandparents testimony of the Gospel. But there came a point in my life when I needed to know for my self that this church is correct. At that point in time, I didn't really have a testimony, and it was hard to go to a church where you didn't have any friends in the ward. But, as I continued to read the scriptures, ask questions, and pray, I found out for my self that this church is true. I had a hard time my senior year of High School, and began to question my faith again. I had some doubts, and needed some answers. Through the help of the leaders in my ward, scriptures, and prayer, I gained my strong testimony again. I am a Mormon because I know, without a doubt, that this is the only true church in the world. I am a Mormon because I have seen the effects of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my life, and can feel of the Saviors love. I am a Mormon because I know that the Plan of Salvation is real, and that I can return to live with God again.

How I live my faith

I have held many different callings during my time in the Church. Before I left for my mission, I served as a Family History Consultant, helping the ward members learn about family history and how to find their ancestors. I loved this calling because it helped me develop a passion for family history, and allowed me to lean a lot about my family history as well. I have also been involved in the various youth presidencies, leading and helping other youth in the ward strengthen their faith and testimony of the Gospel.
