Hi I'm Lydia

I grew up in Ogden, Ut. I am preparing to serve a full time mission in New Hampshire. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Lydia. My dream is to become a history teacher. I was involved in music and theatre throughout my grade school years and loved every minute of it. I currently help manage a pizza place in my home town as well as preform as a princess character for children's parties. I am preparing to serve a mission and I just can't wait to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to an LDS family, but being a Mormon wasn't always easy. I am a Mormon because the gospel brings me peace and joy. Each day that I chose to follow my Savior my testimony grows. Once, while talking to my mother about how nothing seemed to be going my way, she told me that I needed to put my feet on the path I want to be on. I realized that I was unhappy and confused. I thought back on the past and how I had drifted away from my faith, and forgotten the happy girl I used to be. That night I read my scriptures and prayed to my Father in Heaven. Since then I have discovered the true joy the Lord grants to those who come unto him. My life is not prefect, it never will be. But through Him, each day is brighter.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by small and simple things. I pray, I read my scriptures, and serve and love those I interact with. In my ward I help others discover their ancestors. I use Family Search to look through family trees. I read through historical documents to find important information such as names and birth dates. I help teach others how to look for their family members. It's amazing to see how finding a lost relative and learning about their life brings happiness to myself and others.
