Hi I'm Mitch Brotherson

I grew up playing football, basketball and paintball. Now I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Throughout my life I have always loved athletics, I started playing both football and basketball as soon as I was big enough to get on an organized team. My family also had a cattle ranch so every spring and fall we went to help vaccinate and tag them. When I wasn't playing or working, I was gaming. Video games were my life for the longest time. I probably spent half of my day everyday growing roots into the couch. In high school I learned that I love working with my hands, even more than I ever though working on a ranch. I love building things, welding and woodworking classes came together in the best way possible. The experience of taking re bar and wood boards, and turning them into shelves or a table is totally unique.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what I believe is true. Throughout my life I have had some difficulties, and while I know that my life has been pretty easy compared to many other people. The knowledge that through Jesus Christ I can be saved, that I can be with those who mean so much to me after I die, is priceless. Knowing that I a completely imperfect can be given a second chance, a third, however many it takes to get right. That is just astounding and that is something that I really want to share with everyone I can. In short, I'm a Mormon because it is the best way to become everything that I can be.

How I live my faith

I live my beliefes and my faith through my friends, my family, and my church callings. In recent months my friends and I have made the decision to serve missions, this means that for two years we go into strange places in the world and teach people about our faith. As I said before, another way I live my faith is through my family. I try to do all the things that the oldest son should do. 99% of the time that just means being the kind of guy that I want my brother to be and my sisters to date. My family is probably the most important thing in my life and they are not only how I live my faith but also why I live it as well.
