Hi I'm Kaitlin

I have lived in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and California. I love to run and play tennis. Soon I'll be serving a mission in Uruguay!

About Me

I grew up in Utah where I learned to love the mountains hiking/running through them. With high school came a change. My family decided to move to the Arvada, Colorado for a new job opportunity. This change was so hard. I missed my home but with hard work I met friends and Colorado soon became my home. I learned to stand up for my testimony of the church there as well as to develop some of my talents. I joined the tennis team and held multiple callings in the church. Less then 2 years later my family decided to move again to the bay area of California. This decision was made at the end of my senior year of high school. I enjoyed my last few months of high school with my friends and moved shortly after graduating. I lived in California only 2 months before attending college at BYUI. All of the changes in my life greatly prepared me for college. I loved BYUI because of the people I met from all over the world. But it quickly became apparent that I needed to go on a mission instead of take another semester of classes like I had been planning on. So I headed home to work and save up money before my mission. I still do not know why I needed to go on a mission but I am excited to share the gospel that makes me so happy. I just recently opened my call. I will be serving the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission. So that is a brief summary of my life. I've been through a lot of change and grown from it. I've learned to laugh when things get hard and keep God close.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy and it gives purpose to my life. Mormons are so welcoming and happy. No matter where I have lived or what ward I have gone to church in everyone was so willing to help and get to know me. Because of this church I know that I will live again after this life and that what I do here on earth has a purpose. The church gives me reason to live each day trying my hardest to better myself and to help others. I love helping others and the peace being Mormon brings me and that is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith happily!! I would not be Mormon if it did not make me happy. I read my scriptures to bring me closer to God. I also enjoy researching my family history. The more I learn about where I come from the more I appreciate my own life and the heritage behind me. I live my faith by attending church every week. I go even when I do not want to because every time I go I feel closer to God and there always seems to be a message that was meant particularly for me and for the trials I am going through. I never regret going to church and learning more about my purpose on this earth. I love how the church brings me in connection with so many other great people. I had the opportunity to live my faith even at school as I attended BYUI. It was amazing learning things on both an intellectual and spiritual level in the same

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kaitlin
No! We love to help anyone. Just the other day I ran into an older lady at a gas station hunched over on the curb. I asked her if she needed help. Apparently she was looking for change in her purse to buy some food. I helped her get our her change. She continued to tell me she had an injury and that is why she was struggling. I helped her up and went on with my day. I love being of service to anyone. Show more Show less
