Hi I'm Hermana Kunzler

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Costa Rica. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from Richfield, Utah. Before my mission I went to college at Brigham Young University. I am currently serving a mission for the people of the Costa Rica San Jose West Mission. I believe that a smile can truly change the world, and we are happiest when we are in the service of others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life, but I didn't really discover what it meant to be a until I was older.. When I was a freshman in high school, I was very sad and insecure about myself. I didn't think that I had very many friends, I hated my body, and I was miserable. One day when I was sitting in class, a teacher approached me and told me that I should smile more. For some reason, I decided to do what my teacher said. I smiled all the time. Even when I wasn't truly, I faked a smile. Eventually, all of my smiles became real. I became genuinely happy all the time. I then discovered that smiling and being happy is the purpose of life, and it is the purpose of being a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I believe in being happy. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is where true happiness is found. I am a Mormon because I want to be happy for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

As a missionary in Costa Rica, I have the opportunity to share the gospel with everyone that I come in contact with. I live my faith by helping others realize the joy that the gospel brings. I also live my faith through kindness and service. When Jesus was on the earth, he showed kindness and love to everyone. Although it is hard at times, I believe that performing simple acts of kindness such as saying hi or smiling at someone can change lives. You never know who is having a bad day. I believe it is important to reach out to everyone, just as the Savior did.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Hermana Kunzler
Joseph Smith restored the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. When he was 14, Joseph went into the woods to pray. As Joseph was praying, God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ appeared to him. This is called the First Vision. The things that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ told Joseph Smith are what led him to restore the church through the Power of God. Just like Moses or Isaiah, he was a prophet. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Hermana Kunzler
In the scriptures we, we read that God chose many prophets to teach the gospel and increase the work of his church. It is the same today. Because God loves us and wants us to return to live with Him, He has placed a living prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us. That prophet's name is Thomas S. Monson. Our prophet gives us guidance and direction. He tells us what to do to be better members of the church, and how to come closer to God. Show more Show less
