Hi I'm Erik

I grew up in Utah. I have 2 brothers with disabilities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play all types of sports including wrestling, volleyball, basketball, baseball, ultimate Frisbee and even a little bit of Australian rules football. I just graduated high school and I love many different types of music. In high school I loved to sing in choir and I also loved weight lifting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I never really had a specific conversion story that stuck out in my mind until I was listening to a speaker when I was 16 or 17 in an early morning meeting. He actually shared his conversion story and it resonated with me. He shared the story of Jeremiah the prophet from the old testament. He had everything going against him and he recorded the following, "Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay." He realized that he knew The Lord's teachings were true and he needed to continue teaching them. I read this and realized that I had a testimony in my heart even though I did not realize it at the time. I know that we will be able to see each other again even after we die in this life and I am so grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I visit a couple of families a month and I talk to them about some of our gospel principles to provide comfort and/or direction.
