Hi I'm Jevi Fanene

I'm from a small island of American Samoa and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very active person. I love to play, sing, and even draw. My favorite sport is volleyball. Im very good at building things, taking it apart and putting it together. I'm always curious of how things work. I've spent most of my time working on car engines which is rare for most teens in my age group. I love working on hands-on projects, I'm always interested in computer and electronics. I hope to have a career and become an I.T specialist in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of this church. My parents were converted, then they started having children within the church. My parents didn't forced me to be a Mormon. They learned of how important a persons free agency is, and they let me and my siblings make our decisions. So I started searching, reading the scriptures and praying really helped me in making my decisions. So from my searches, I know that there is a God, our Heavenly Father. His son, Jesus Christ, gave his life to forgive our sins. The Holy Ghost helpd us in making good decisions. It is the feeling that urges us to do good things. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most true and correct book that has ever been written. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, called to restore his gospel on Earth. I gave anyone that also wanted to know for them selves if these things were true, I strongly recommend that you must search diligently and pray faithfully, and i can assure that God the Father will manifest it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I always help out in my community whenever help is needed. I tried my very best to keep my environment clean and beautiful. Its something that my parents always tells me, to be a good citizen in my community. My callings within our branch are important. I work mainly with the youth. I work closely together with young men with ages from 12 to 18. I love to mingle with these young mens, helping them in anyway that i can help

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jevi Fanene
Words cannot fully describe or define the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. In an easy term, I say that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the mission that Jesus Christ had to do. It was the Purpose of why he was sent to Earth, to atone for us and our sins. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself and his life to suffer for our sins and transgression. We cannot imagine or compare his suffering in the garden of Gethsemane, where he bled from every pore due to the weight of our sins. The Atonement of Christ was essential to the Plan of Happiness that our Heavenly Father Created for us. Since the fall of Adam men are all subject to both physical and spiritual death, Jesus Christ redeemed us from both death. Show more Show less
