Hi I'm Emily Kessinger

I grew up in Spanish Fork. I attend Brigham Young University, and I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.

About Me

I am from a family of 6. A mom and dad, two older brothers, then one younger brother. Since I was the only girl growing up I developed a love for any and every sport! I am currently attending college and I love going to all the home basketball and football games. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, long boarding... etc. I also grew up dancing and still am dancing right now with a college team. I love all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop. I enjoy performing and being on the stage and field with my teammates. I also enjoy watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the principles it teaches, and I love the feeling I receive when I live these principles. My mom and dad have been teaching me these principles within this specific religion ever since I was a little girl. As I have been able to move out and experience life on my own I have truly realized how much this religion means to me. I have felt God's love for me as I study the scriptures and strive to live my life in a way that would please my Heavenly Father. I also have felt Jesus Christ carry me and help push me during my trials in life. As I have developed a relationship with my savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father I have discovered that I want to do anything and everything I can to return into their loving arms one day. I am a Mormon because of the joy I receive when I live this gospel and the peace it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I live my life in a way where I can positively represent my religion. I try my best to dress modestly, visit and serve the people in my neighborhood, attend church every Sunday, plan activities and strengthen my relationship with my family and friends. I really enjoy having the responsibility to plan and lead activities within my neighborhood. Me and a few other women plan monthly activities inviting all the other girls in the neighborhood to come together and mingle with fun games or crafts, while eating yummy food and talking about life. We try to not only build relationships and friendships but look for girls who are having a rough time and discover new ways to help and serve them. I love being able to be surrounded by such incredible examples and loving girls! With that responsibility I am able to practice my religion and serve the people in my neighborhood.
