Hi I'm Monique

I grew up in a small town in Utah. I went through Foster Care with 5 siblings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town where there aren't many opportunities. Though , I got to become apart of so many great things, especially because I have many interests. I was in theatre, FFA, student council, and a few other clubs.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel! It has helped me through so many difficulties in life. I have learned what true happiness is. I have felt so happy and loved in all the wards I have been in! Because the gospel is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. I know I can always rely on the Lord, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I am truly blessed to have this knowledge! I will forever be grateful for the missionaries who knocked on my door and my family and friends for being such great examples!

How I live my faith

My city has been hit with a natural disaster recently. As a stake we were able to set up clean-up dates and times. It has been amazing watching the community get together and the wards really getting involved!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We commit to baptism because we are following Jesus Christ's teachings (Mark 16:16; 3 Nephi 11:21-26; 2 Nephi 31:17) and example (Matthew 3:15; 2 Nephi 31:14-17). Baptism is an ordinance. An ordinance being a sacred ceremony that shows we are making a promise, called a covenant, with God. An example of a covenant in baptism, is that we are promising to take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ, to always remember Him and keep His commandments. In return, His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, will always be with us for guidance and safety. Show more Show less
