Hi I'm Megan

I live in Arizona. I love Batman, blue colors, and Disney. I'm dedicating 18 months to serve the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Arizona since I was 5 years old and I love it here despite the heat. Recently I have been called to serve a mission for the LDS church for 18 months in Maryland and I am super excited to serve there and actually see all 4 seasons. I love to play tennis, binge watch Netflix, and love to go out to eat with friends. I have been studying in college to prepare to major in dental hygiene to have a job that allows me to have a family. I love my family and my dog. Animals have a special place in my heart and if I could I would probably have like 4 pets. I am excited for what life has in store for me in the future. I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church so it would be easy for me to say that I am a Mormon simply because that is what I was taught to do, but something that is significant and beautiful about the LDS church is it teaches of how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ believe in agency, or the ability to make our own choices. I will admit that for a long time I chose to participate in this church was just because it was my lifestyle and there was a period of time where I was surrounded by darkness and I did not fully participate in the church because I was confused and wasn't sure if I could 100% say I believed in it. However, after having been more notably sad and hurt in my life I made the decision to participate in the Mormon church and it has made me better. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Living in a world today full of hate and discontent I choose to believe that God is out there and He knows us personally and watches over us even when we think He couldn't possibly be looking out for us. I choose to believe that Jesus Christ died for us and because of that He knows exactly what we have gone through and can be there to comfort us just by knowing that. I am a Mormon because I choose to have faith in the fact that there is still good in the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly attending church every Sunday and participating in my calling. I am in the nursery so I teach/hang out with kids 18 months-3 years old. My calling helps parents to be able to participate in classes during church so they can feel the Spirit but I considered it a blessing to be serving in there because little toddlers have such sweet spirits and they teach me to be forgiving and loving like them. I enjoy being able to learn each week and be surrounded by others who share my faith. I read my scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, and pray every night and day.
