Hi I'm Nico Torres

I grew up mostly in a small town called Tehachapi. I got my Eagle Scout award and acquired a Black belt in Karate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have earned my Eagle Scout award and achieved the rank of Black Belt. I enjoy the outdoors, such as: Hiking, Kayaking, Swimming, Camping and Biking. I am a very physical person and love doing physical activities, including working out, running and parkour. I was the fastest runner on my varsity track team in my senior year of high school. I have always loved the activities that my church has put together for me, and I am now preparing to enter the Mission field for the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I get more happiness out of the Gospel than I would without. I have personal felt the love that our Savior has for us, and I have received special answers to prayers I've given. The gospel is true to me, and I am glad to have it. The people in the church are the closest ones to me, and I love them very much. And I know they love me. With this gospel in my life, I have never truly been lost.

How I live my faith

I was recently set apart as an Elder to serve my Mission. I was born and raised as a Mormon, so I have been active in all my Quorums and church activities. I always went to mutual and boy scouts, I went home-teaching every month to my families, and I always went to church or conference on Sunday. I read the scriptures, and ponder daily my role in Heavenly Father's eternal plan.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Nico Torres
The Law of Chastity is keeping yourself sexually clean before marriage. Sexual activity is something that is best kept within the bonds of marriage, to your partner. Not only is it morally uplifting to do so, but for worldy/scientific reasons, you will also be happier. There are many issues that can arise with not keeping the Law of Chastity, such as: physical ailments and disease, Integrity, and the dissatisfaction of knowing that your "partner" and you do not wholesomely belong to each other. Our Heaven Father knows these things, but also wants us to be morally clean, and pure with our intents. We should be keeping the Law of Chastity for the benefit of ourselves. Don't give in to your lustful desires for the mere cause of satisfying yourself for a short time. It will not end with you being happy. Any sexual activity should be done in marriage and out of love, not lust. Show more Show less
