Hi I'm Garret

I was born and raised in Utah. I love music. I want to be a Mechanical Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include: Being outdoors, hiking, camping, rock climbing, rafting, listening to music, creating music, building things, woodworking, welding, and watching movies. I am currently going to college studying Mechanical Engineering. As I said, I love music. I have been in bands and competed in competitions. I play the drums and am currently learning the guitar. My favorite genre is rock'n'roll, but I listen to many different genres.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us. He is there cheering for us every step of the way. We may not be perfect, and often screw up. But He never will give up on us. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to come and atone for our sins. The Atonement is real. It can help us in every aspect of our life if we are just willing to ask. I have felt the cleansing power of the Atonement in my life and there is no power greater. I have felt my Heavenly Fathers unconditional love. Nothing makes me as happy as this gospel. I know that if I do the best I can to repent and become like my Savior, that I will one day be able to stand in the presence of my God, my Father, and it will all be worth it. God is ready to give us all that He hath. Everything. He's holding out his hand, begging us to come unto Him. There is nothing on this earth that could be worth throwing that away. All we can do is keep trying, knowing we will be blessed beyond our imaginations.

How I live my faith

I am in a ward, and love to help out. I often plan lessons for/with my classes. I visit other members of my ward just to talk with them and see how they are doing. I am often involved with planning major camps and activities for my ward and love to attend these trips.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are an essential part of the gospel. We are all part of a family, with our Heavenly Father and Mother at the head. We all have the opportunity to create and have a family, which allows us to truly learn how our Heavenly Father loves us. We learn to love each other, to teach and serve. Show more Show less
