Hi I'm Meghan

I grew up in a tiny town in California. I love nursing, traveling, and following my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I've finished all my prerequisite classes for the Nursing program and plan on applying after my next semester. I have one younger brother who is 16. Looks wise, he's basically the male version of me. I love him so much. I've also been blessed with some of the greatest parents ever. They're constant reminders to me that life can be so good. I am currently living at home for a couple of months before I leave to serve my mission in Arequipa, Peru! I'm so grateful for this opportunity that I have to serve my Heavenly Father and His children. I cannot wait to share this gospel and the true happiness that it brings to the good people of Peru.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon first off because I was raised in the church. I was born into a family that already lived the principles of the gospel. I continue to be a member because it is truly what makes me happy. With the gospel, I'm able to learn of my Heavenly Father and recognize His influence in my life. I feel most at peace when I pray and read my scriptures. The standards and teachings of the gospel help me grow into the person Heavenly Father intended me to become. When life seems so chaotic and confusing, the gospel is the one thing that doesn't ever change. It is the one place that I know I can find peace and contentment every single time I search. I can't imagine my life without the love and guidance I receive from my loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

At church, I am a nursery worker (the place where children 18 months to 3 years go while their parents are in Sunday school). Believe it or not, we have short lessons for them each week that illustrate the teachings of the gospel. We use pictures, books, coloring pages... anything you can think of to teach them the simple truths of this church. The children love it, and I love seeing them learn and grow. I can truly see the light of Christ in each of their sweet spirits. Outside of church, I live my faith by serving those around me and trying my best to see others the way Christ sees them. Christ has a perfect love for each person, and that love never ends. When we help each other through life, we can experience a tiny sliver of that perfect love. This is what brings us joy and happiness that will last forever! We carry these experiences and remembrances with us throughout the rest of our lives, and even through the rest of eternity. When I am serving others is when I feel Christ's love the most.
