Hi I'm Cody

I was born and raised on my parents homesteads in , Wyoming, & Idaho USA. I am a homemaker, educator, mom, and a grandma.

About Me

I am a retired educator including School Bus Driver and Paraprofessional. I have been happily married for 40 years to a good man. We have 5 adult children. My first career of choice has been that of a homemaker. I love cooking, gardening ,preserving our own produce from our large garden and orchard, and taking care of our children and home. We also love camping, hiking and just being in the out of doors. I have served in the Church and Community working many years with cub scouts and in 4-H. My newly found love as a retiree is doing Family History Work. I love researching my roots.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I love my Savior and want to follow him. Being an active member of his church strengthens me and helps me to feel His spirit and know what He would have me do and how I can help His children, my fellow men. It brings me great peace and joy. I love the commandments. Striving to live them has given me such freedom and blessed my life in wonderful ways. I know that God leads the Church through a living Prophet and we can trust him in these perilous times. I have felt the power of God's Priesthood in my life and it has protected and blessed me. I was born into an LDS family who taught me the Gospel and took me to Church from the time I was born and I have felt the spirit throughout my life. My husband and I have been sealed in the Temple for time and eternity. I am so thankful to know that my family relationships can continue through eternity. We have been married 40 years and it is such a comfort to know we and our children and grandchildren can be together for eternity. I just feel so blessed. We are currently serving a mission for the church it is challenging and rewarding at the same time. I love my Savior and serving him.

How I live my faith

I love being part of a great close community. I moved here about 40 years ago and have so many friends and neighbors. My work with the schools gave me the opportunity to get involved with the youth both at work and in church. My 20 years in Scouting, much of it when my sons were young, was a joy in my life. It gave me a chance to be with boys ,their families, and other great leaders doing fun things in the outdoors and indoors too. I feel when I serving my fellow man I am serving my Savior. I feel like teaching young people the values of integrity, hard work, service, citizenship, and to do their duty to God, has been some of the most important work I can be involved in.
