Hi I'm Marty

Family & friends are paramount. People from all seven continents have "called to us." Jesus Christ is our Savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I feel that life is a miracle! Friends and family are important and I meet new friends everyday. Being a good father, grandfather, friend and citizen are also essential. I enjoy community service, photography, life sciences, the teachings of modern-day prophets and the scriptures. Becoming an acceptable disciple and more Christ-like is my life's goal.

Why I am a Mormon

With a scientific background, Molecular Biology, personal faith seemed incompatible at first. Then, I read a booklet called "Faith of a Scientist" by Henry Eyring. This famed scientist discusses his conviction that science and religion, properly understood, are not two separate worlds. They can complement and enhance one another. Amateur archaeology kindled my interest in the Book of Mormon. I learned that there is both an intellectual and a spiritual knowledge. Going to the source of all truth, I asked 'hard' questions and received 'tender' answers. I believe with all my heart, might and mind that the Book of Mormon is true. It is the source of happiness and joy. Thank Heaven for the Restoration of the Gospel of Christ in its fullness!

How I live my faith

My faith has allowed me to meet and work with both youth and adults. Community Service is a joy when working alongside others. Beginning with just one individual (me), I am trying to build a better community, nation and to make this world a better place. My 'companion' and I are working to help bring families together forever. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. They have a plan of happiness for each one of us. All we need to do is faithfully 'knock' and it will be opened to us.
