Hi I'm Chuck

I'm a son. I'm a brother. I'm a student. I'm an EMT. I'm a nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I used to be a boy scout. I enjoy learning about new things, like instruments and music. I watch a lot of T.V. and play too many games. I love helping people. I study medicine to learn how to fix people's problems.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of a friend of mine. It was really hard for me, and lead to me thinking a lot about why something like that would happen. I ended up praying a lot and kept getting the same thing told to me by everyone I spoke to. I was told that in the midst of the pain and grief, I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me personally and cares for me. when things get bad, he doesn't love me any less. before this experience, I had wondered whether or not the church is true. I learned that the gospel is true. I know that Christ Atoned for my sins and that he loves me. I know that any truth can be gospel to someone. I know that the sky is blue, the grass is green, and that Jesus is the Christ.

How I live my faith

Every week, I go to church. while I'm there its easy to feel good about myself. I study the scriptures every day, and it really helps me to feel a greater love for the people around me. I believe this love is why we do things like service for other people. Service is a very important part of my belief in Jesus Christ. Because of this, I decided to serve a full time mission. I have volunteered to spend two years helping to answer people's questions about the gospel. I am trying to live as a representative of Jesus Christ for this purpose, but I'm not perfect. Like everyone else, I still mess up from time to time. But through repentance, I can show my appreciation for the Atonement, and make better the wrongs I've done.

What is faith?

To me, having faith is having enough trust in the gospel to hear what the Lord says, and go and do that thing, whatever it is. To have faith is to hear and do. Show more Show less
